As I enter my second year of solopreneurship, I’m making a conscientious effort to find ways to work smarter by setting up the right systems, tools, and processes. As I’m sure you’ve all experienced, the days are so busy it can be hard to stop and assess the current state of things. 💡 Tip of the Day Short term “pain” spending time figuring out what will work best for you ultimately will lead to long term gains! In my case, these apps and techniques help me reduce the time I have to spend on mundane tasks: ✅ Tool: Notion After talking to a colleague about how to make team collaboration more effective, I decided to finally move all my business documents and tasks to Notion. I’m using it as an idea repository, a task management platform, a personal calendar, and so much more! ✅ Technique: Time-blocking This technique and system allow me to break down my workday into several blocks and assign specific tasks to each block. I technically started doing this in high school (!) but hadn’t realized there was a name for it. It keeps me focused on the task at hand. ✅ Tool: Magical I write SO many emails and messages on LinkedIn each day — I finally decided to research the best tool to help me with this. I wanted something that was helpful and ideally free — then Magical showed up! So far the app tells me I’ve saved 2.25 hours using my text shortcuts. I was so happy with the tool I reached out to them to see if they’d sponsor this newsletter — and as you can see, they said yes! :) ✅ Technique: The Eisenhower Decision Matrix This matrix helps me categorize tasks into four quadrants, enabling better time management by avoiding focusing on unimportant and non-urgent tasks. It also allows me to hone my delegation skills. 💬 What tools or techniques do you use to boost your productivity? Send a response, and I might feature you in a future newsletter! Thanks for reading! |
